Pedal
torque analysis - optional function -
With this optional function, it is possible to see on a pc- monitor in
realtime your torque curve when pedalling on a hometrainer or ergometer.
You see the total torque of both legs. The data are sampled with 5ms (200hz)
and on the computer monitor you can always see your 10 last pedal strokes
with the corresponding cadence in the same colour. The torque scaling is
adjustable. It is possible to save the data as an ASCII file that allows
you to import it into a tabular calculation program, e.g.: MS Exel to create
your own gaphs.
The advantage of this option is, you can see, if you pedal synchronous
with both legs, and how much your torque is, when your cranks are in vertical
position.
The cable for the torque analysis is 3 meters long and must be connected
to the parallel port of your pc. This program runs in DOS mode or in a
Windows window.
If you order this option, you get a special Powercontrol with a second
data output for the torque and cadence. The signal has TTL level (0-5 volts)
and is for the parallel pc port. The cable is 3 meters long (max 6 meters
possible) and has a 25 pin conector for the standard parallel pc port 1,
2, 3 or 4.
Notice:
A later upgrading of the Powercontrol with this function is not possible.
In this case you should please order a new one with this option.
